Our purpose is to preserve, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Tyrone Township.
About
The Tyrone Township Historical Society was formed in May, 1975. The moving and restoration of the old Town House and the beginning of the Bicentennial activities were the motivating factors in its formation.
Today our Historical Society officers proudly represent families who have built and served this community for decades. We enjoy bringing the community together to share our heritage through social events and regular meetings. At times we welcome guest speakers. Our latest project is working to get our Historical Town House moved to a safe place. We are working hard with the support of our community to put structures in place that will provide a strong foundation for a sustainable future. Our history, our stories, our community matters!

Bylaws
We have offically restructured to become a 501c3 nonprofit. In doing so, it was time to also revise our bylaws that have been in place since 1975. These bylaws have been adopted as of November 2021.
